The multicellgenome lab aims to understand the genetic mechanisms involved in one of the most important evolutionary transitions in life’s history: the emergence of multicellular animals (Metazoa) from their protists ancestors.

We are part of the Evo-Devo group of the Department of Genetics at the Universitat de Barcelona and the Institut de Recerca en Biodiversitat de la Universitat de Barcelona (Irbio). We are located within the Parc Científic de Barcelona.
